Profile

I was born in Bradford and later moved to Mirfield, where I worked as a firefighter in Huddersfield. After getting married, I moved to Riccall and worked at Garforth and Gipton fire stations in Leeds. I retired from operational duties after 30 years and worked as a Fire Safety Protection Inspector and trainer at the Fire Service headquarters. I now work for Britannia Fire as a consultant.

I have always been involved in sports including swimming, Tae Kwando and trekking. I have been an active fundraiser for cancer research and children's charities over the years.

I feel very lucky and privileged to live in Riccall, a village with such a rich history, and have noticed many changes in the 22 years that I have lived here. I hope that I can be an active participant in the conservation of the village and secure its future for the next generations.
