Profile

I’m originally from Cheshire, moved to York in 2006 to do my legal practice course and loved Yorkshire and never left. I was overjoyed when we bought our house in Riccall in 2021, we wanted a more rural life, in a village but with lots of life and Riccall is exactly that!

I started off as a solicitor but moved into the Civil Service and I’m very proud to be part of the Ministry of Defence.

I’m a keen netball player I still play in York either as WA or C, I’m a little short for anything else. I love walking my dogs you probably see me quite often walking them both and if you are a dog owner, I’ll know you by your dog's names. I’m also in the local choir which I love.  We did a concert in the Village Institute to raise money for the Riccall Wood Meadow project which is really exciting. I look forward to the Spring and seeing it come to life.

In October this year I was co-opted onto Riccall Parish Council and I hope once I’ve settled in, to bring fresh eyes and represent the views of the people locally. Whilst I’ve not lived here long, I hope this commitment to the Council shows how much I’ve fell in love with Riccall in such a short period. I’m really proud to be part of such a vibrant, friendly community.
