‘Get To Know Your Own Heart’ is identified as a key action in the Selby District Visitor Economy Marketing Plan, as a way of boosting the visitor economy before the summer season, driving awareness of the Heart of Yorkshire identity, showcasing the varied and quality offer available across the district, and encouraging residents to explore the district more. The festival includes discounts, offers, special events, guided walks and more. It will be a great time for residents to discover what our district has to offer as a destination.

Campaign activity includes local press advertising in the Selby Times, partnership activity with local parenting group STAG Mumbler, social media advertising across Facebook and Instagram and a digital Google display/search network campaign. All activity is directing residents to the festival landing page on the website, which has achieved just under 3,000 page views to date.

‘Get To Know Your Own Heart’ presents a fantastic opportunity for us to raise the profile of the district, the Heart of Yorkshire identity and the new Explore Heart of Yorkshire website. I do hope you’re able to take advantage of the offers/discounts available and join in with some of the activities that have been organised. If you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
