Nominations are now open for the Selby District Shining Stars Community Awards 2020. Residents from the Selby district are invited to say thank you and nominate the people or organisations that they feel have gone above and beyond to support their communities through the difficulties of 2020.

Any individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to support their communities can be nominated using this web form.

Voting will be open for five weeks. Nominations will be shortlisted before being reviewed by a panel of judges from the local community.

There are five categories (please only select one category per nomination):
Volunteer of the Year Award (adult)
Volunteer Group of the Year Award
Inspiring Young Star Awards (under 18)
Shining star through the Pandemic Award
Local Business Making a Difference Award

Each category will have bronze, silver and gold winners. The prizes are:
Volunteer Group of the Year Award - Gold £200 and a Shining Star Glass Trophy, Silver £100, Bronze £50. Monetary as One4all vouchers

Business Making a Difference Award Gold £200 and a Shining Star Glass Trophy, Silver £100, Bronze £50. Monetary as One4all vouchers

Individuals Category Awards - Gold £100 and Shining Star Trophy, Silver £50, Bronze £25 Monetary as One4all vouchers

All winners will also receive a celebratory pin badge and a framed achievement certificate.
